Abstract The article analyses the political meaning of silence by reflecting on communicative, autonomous and aesthetic function in context prevailing speech systems. In article, is interpreted as an active communication form, activist protest tactic practice. argues that can have a politically subversive toward aesthetically organised systems.Conventionally, devalued Western societies primarily celebrate expressive communicative capacity verbal speech. theorising about radically egalitarian politics, it however crucial to note various ways which be important source power. Silence holds potential for certain change current legal-political frameworks. On one hand, enable new forms actualise alternative solidarities attachments. Also, logic oppressive systems resisted through silent action. other individual’s own practices silence, ones protests bring their aftermath, where sensibility orders rearranged. these many meanings silence.
